Consumer demand for natural and cleaner products is a priority shared by our company and our customers. Our laboratory has created hundreds of formulations that meet Environmental Working Group (EWG) guidelines, and we strive to formulate the highest clean standards on every project.
As a co-founder of the Amazonian Alliance, PakLab was the first and only contract manufacturer to offer direct-from-source ingredients certified as timber-free. We continue to pursue sustainable endorsements such as Roundtable on Sustainable Palm Oil (RSPO) certification. We engage circular economy practices by observing the most up-to-date sustainable packaging options, and partner with suppliers that have the highest ethical standards and have passed our stringent qualification process.
Our outreach efforts include personal care education, scholarship funding and product donations. We actively engage our community by supporting local businesses and other organizations.
Internally, we practice social responsibility by monitoring our carbon footprint.We have engaged experienced third parties to establish our baseline footprint and to create reduction methods.
PakLab and The Amazonian Alliance
Caring for our planet, our people, and our water
In 2012, PakLab set out to promote our spirit of social responsibility and commitment to action towards the protection of our planet’s natural resources and clean water by lending our support in the participation of the foundation of the Amazonian Alliance, a B Corp that owns the largest private reserve in the heart of Brazil.
This effort was soon followed by some of the largest international corporations as well as A-list Hollywood celebrities. Today, we continue to share our DNA with this one-of-a-kind historical initiative and are honored to be counted as participants in their Founder’s Circle.
Our private natural reserve is poised to produce timber-free ingredients for the nutritional markets, as well as sustainable and ethically sourced ingredients for the personal care industry. Hand collection methods of biomass materials, employed by small micro farming villagers, are utilized instead of harvesting processes that require deforestation and clearing of primal forests.
The Amazonian Alliance provides jobs, education, health and sanitary care as well as sustainable housing and clean water collection systems to over 15 riverside villages adjacent to the private reserve. It has received over two and a half million tons of carbon credits that are available to any of our clients interested in offsetting their energy footprint.
